Brian E. Tuck, of Rockport, is charged with aggravated statutory rape, indecent assault and battery on an intellectually disabled person, indecent assault and battery on a person under 14, rape of a child under 16 by force (three counts), and reckless endangerment of a child, Rockport police said.
He was ordered held without bail on Thursday, April 4.
Police said the assaults took place between 2013 and 2015 but did not come to light until recently.
Tuck knew the child in the case, but no more information about their relationship was released to protect the alleged victim's identity, police said.
“This case shows a profoundly disturbing pattern of abuse and betrayal of trust,” said Rockport Police Chief John Horvath. “We want to acknowledge and thank District Attorney Tucker and his office and Rockport Police Sergeant Daniel Mahoney for their efforts in this investigation.”
